Colouring Exercises = Colour Fun!

The colour exercise is to colour the picture as you would normally. Then go back and add purple to one side of the leaf, in the shadows, and the outside plain, as Dawn did. purple, green or blue… a cool colour will recede… or fall back… dull.

add the hot colours; red, yellow and orange… they come forward, are bright and exciting! Dawn cools off the sun with blues and greens in the field. red in the green corn leaves brings them to life!

follow the red around the celtic knot! sometimes outside, sometimes inside… those crazy knots!
you can’t have just a black crow… you need colour to make it lively.

Now we’re having fun… compliments… orange yellow sun with blue purple cat… yes! a double compliment, my favorite! along with a beautiful sunset and green leaves… i’m ready to hook this pattern… thanks Dawn!

these patterns are available through me. Pattico designer and owner, Sequoia Buck, gave me some of her patterns… these and a few more. Let me know if you’re interested in hooking one of these fun patterns.

I hooked this a while ago! i used a dip-dyed yellow orange for the knot and a few other places. a lively spot for outlining… i love outlining! black and purple for the Crow! The backgrounds are from a dye class… givers and takers… the Marbelize Method. 13×13″; a quick and fun hook!
