Donna Lovelady’s Rooster Pattern

Rooster Rug by Donna Lovelady

I’m happy to have two of Donna Lovelady’s patterns from Hooker Hill Rug Retreat!  This pattern has lots going on and the background can be broken into several sections; a fun way to use up wool scraps.  Donna likes to do lots of other needle techniques in her pillow; applique, felting, needle punch, sewing buttons on, etc.  i’m looking forward to hooking her pattern with a few Special Stitches!

Colour possiblities for Lovelady's Rooster Rug.

  1. Your poppy pattern is delightful! Are you still working on that or your dahlia pattern?
The rooster is cute too – a clever design! I recently rec’d a magazine that has the most beautiful rooster on the cover – it made me want to hook it – the colors are spectacular. I like her play with the design incl. the flowers. Your coloration is clever too. Happy hooking! Sarah
